Just recently, I received a request to add a link to the following

web site: http://namtour.com/namtour.html .  The site is

a Vietnam picture Tour and well worth your time.  The request

comes from Gary Jacobson, who served with Bravo Co

            2nd/7th 1st Air Cavalry '66-'67, as a combat infantryman.

Mr. Jacobson operated out of LZ Betty, Phan Thiet Vietnam.

The unit Mr. Jacobson served with is the same unit depicted

in the movie "We Were Soldiers".  His poetry tugs at the

            heart strings and is powerful.

Be sure to visit the site.

We received and email from Sharon and Sandy who come

every year with the quilts.  You may contact the ladies

            at http://home.att.net/~vetcenter/quilts.htm

We received an email requesting that a link to a website be added.  The email

comes from Kevin P. Dunne who served with 1/77 Armor, 5th Infantry (Red

Diamond) Div. I Corps serving in Vietnam from 68-71.  Kevin was in Vietnam

from July 68-July69 and reports that there were only 2600 men who served

in Vietnam as "tanker" with over 25% KIA, the highest KIA for any unit which

served in Vietnam.  He also informed us that the 1/77th Armor is currently

deployed in Iraq as part of the Big Red 1.

The link to this website is www.steeltigers.org.

            Thanks for the email Kevin.

Please note that there is an online petition which you can

sign in support of the Marine who shot a terrorist and has been

withdrawn from duty pending an investigation.  The rights

of terrorists in some situations like this one, must come

second to protecting the lives of our military personnel.
