Howard County Vietnam Veterans Organization
Lord, as we come before you, help us to be mindfull of our brothers and sisters and to reach out with a hand of friendship. Let them know we care for them. We know they are hurting. Give us the understanding and the compassion to be a help. Bring our troops home safe and sound.Be with our leaders of our country and give them the grace to confer in you and take your everlasting guidance in running our country. We ask this is God's name.
"To all who enter this field; This is not a fighting field...it is a healing field!".....

Church Services are held in the meeting room Sundays at 11:00am. Everyone is welcome!
HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT ABOUT BEING BAPTIZED?
As most of you know, every Sunday morning at HCVVO, Chappy has church at 11:00 AM.
Recently there has been many of his flock who have chosen to be baptized. The baptisms have taken place in front ot the stage. The wonderful thing about these baptisms is that you are completely submerged in a horse tank with Chappy praying. It is part of that 'ole' time religion. If you would like to be baptized on the Sunday of the reunion, please contact Chappy at HVVVO as soon as possible.

The HCVVO Story
I would like to take a moment and thank everyone for their support for the past year. I thought I would take a moment and let the membership know some of the things we accomplished in 2011. Our annual coat drive for the half way house in Marion Indiana was a great success! We had lots of coats and lots of needy Veterans that were very appreciative getting the coats!

In 2011 we were able to help 2 Veteran families at Christmas. One had 5 kids and the other had 3. It was the best Christmas for both families. God makes ways when their don't seem to be any. But thats they way God is!

Our regular annual visits to VA Marion were all a great time for the patients and us also. When your down and out, all you have to do is think about those guys and girls at VA and it should bring you out of your funk. Thank you to all who helped in 2011 at the hospital and look forward to seeing you there this year!

Our organization along with other Veteran Organizations have been working for years to have a shelter for homeless Veterans in Kokomo. As you know, Kokomo has always been good to and for Vets. This is one project in Kokomo that had not been accomplished! Praise God! We broke ground this spring! It will be a brand new building that will have 26 units. It is scheduled to be up and running July 2013. I will be talking to you as new information on this project becomes available. I will tell you that this project will cost over a million dollars and and the city of Kokomo along with most of the Veterans groups are involved in it. So a lot of money will need to be raised. I will keep you posted on details. I am proud to say that our organization was at the for front of trying to get this project off the ground. Please pray for this project. There are several smaller projects we have been involved in this year.

For those who are members, for those who attend the reunion and for those who have supported us by buying T shirts, raffle tickets ect ect, we say thank you. You make it possible for us to serve all Veterans. Most of all thank God for His guidance, grace and wisdom!!

God Bless
